When I stepped on the mat for the very first time, it was life changing. I had just finished a long, hot day in the field as a geologist. I was physically and mentally tired. I almost cancelled my reservation for that evening's beginner's class. Something inside of me insisted I go, stick it out, perhaps dharma knocking at my door. I left feeling calm, a little sore, and for the first time in a long time, rested. The stress I was holding in my body left. I felt my best self. I was hooked. I had to know more about yoga!
It is my goal to share with you the power of love, movement, and breath. I wish for everyone to feel the benefits of a yoga practice, no matter your age or limitations. One of the best parts of yoga is its accessibility for almost everyone. I strive to create a relationship and environment that makes you feel comfortable and cared for.
With Bright Forest Yoga I bring the practice to you, in the comfort and privacy of your home. We will discuss your goals, issues, needs and I will create a program or class personally for you. I have worked with aging bodies, low mobility individuals, athletes, teenagers, children, and those just looking for some personal time. I hope to help you achieve mindfulness in your life while becoming your best physically and mentally.
